OUR TEAMS
OUR FOOTY TEAM
The Ballarat Bulldogs Football Team is the heart of our club and where it all began. Officially formed in 2016, the team was created to give people with intellectual disability the opportunity to play Australian rules football in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
Competing in the Victorian FIDA Football League, our football team is about far more than results on the scoreboard. Training and match days focus on skill development, fitness, teamwork, and most importantly, having fun. Players of all abilities, backgrounds, and experience levels are welcomed, with a strong emphasis on encouragement and mateship.
Our football team stands for inclusion, respect, effort, and belonging. Whether it’s a first kick or a milestone game, every player is celebrated, supported, and valued as part of the Bulldogs family.

OUR NETBALL TEAM
Building on the success of our football program, the Bulldogs Netball Team was introduced to create even more opportunities for people of all abilities to get involved in sport. Designed to be accessible, social, and enjoyable, our netball program welcomes players of all skill levels in a fun, team-based environment.
The focus of the netball team is participation, confidence, and connection. Training sessions are adapted to suit individual needs, ensuring everyone can contribute, learn, and grow at their own pace. It’s a place where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and players are encouraged to challenge themselves in a positive way.
Our netball team reflects the same values as our football program — inclusion, teamwork, respect, and community — providing another pathway for people to be active, connected, and proud to wear the Bulldogs colours.

OUR COMMUNITY TEAM
The Bulldogs Community Team represents everything we stand for beyond the field and court. This team brings together players, families, volunteers, coaches, and supporters who all play a vital role in making the club what it is today.
From game days and training sessions to community events, fundraising, and local partnerships, the community team helps create a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone belongs. Families and carers are actively involved, volunteers are valued, and strong connections are built across Ballarat and the wider region.
At its core, the community team is about belonging, support, and shared pride. It ensures the Bulldogs are not just a sporting club, but a community where people feel safe, supported, and celebrated — on and off the field.
